Out of all the things in this universe,
Never once I thought in my entire life I'd ever write about these movies/books and how they actually impacted us growing up.
I'm a 90's kid so yea these would be my favorite films/ fictional works of literature of all time!
So I figured what the f*** right. Just write share it and see how you guys would respond!
So here are the 6 Life Lessons Harry Potter, LOTR and Star Wars taught us about the way we live life..
1: NEVER EVER Stop Standing Up For Your Own Heart!
When I was homeless a while back I was so partly because I didn't want to work for anyone anymore.
Also because I had to but MOSTLY because I wanted to see how far I could push my limits.
To prove to myself what I'm capable of despite what other people told me.
I got this feeling inside my body where it didn't matter how the far the distance was as long as I can pursue my dreams or die trying...
That's why I like Neville Longbottom when he alone stood up to Voldemort in Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Pt. 2.
Everyone else was too scared but he didn't care because he knew dying for something worthy was better than living with regret especially under a tyrant.
2: Either Have Fun Sometimes Or Don't Even Bother
I used to think that in order to conquer my dreams I have to "grind" 24/7. Yea that's a bunch of bull****.
The only thing that I got from that ideology was exhaustion and being freaking tired all the time and not getting anywhere close to what my goals which at the time.
I don't know where we got this into our heads where we have to work ourselves into exhaustion anyways.
Look even Harry Potter & Ron Weasly in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone had downtime from their studies when they were playing Wizard Chess during their Christmas break at Hogwarts.
Or when the Fellowship just finished their battle at Helm's Deep what were they doing afterward in The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King??
Celebrating, drinking to a great victory!
We need to learn to stop and smell the roses once in a while. We need to stop thinking that just because we are having fun we are not being productive!
Nothing can be furthest from the truth.
We can't expect ourselves to be productive if we don't give ourselves a rest when we need it. A laugh at the hell we are going through...
We need to have fun on our conquests every once all while keeping our focus on our priorities.
And we better make sure we are choosing a passion we love that we can see ourselves doing long term.
We either learn to have fun when we can or don't even bother to dream big at all!
3: The Journey Is F******ng Hard As Hell.
You see the reason I mentioned being homeless before was that it was such an integral part of my life. I never had to think on my feet.
There was so much coming my way if it wasn't the rainy weather it was thinking about what I was going to eat the next day.
If it wasn't food it was where I was going to be sleeping which in all honesty was really just a nightly 3-4 hour nap and that was basically it sometimes I'd take naps during the day.
Life at its core is survival and we have to focus on the path in front of us lest we are defeated by everything surrounding us.
We have to be ALL in for our journey through Mordor (trials and tribulations) to get what we truly want.
Because what are we to do when there really is no turning back??
How will we handle the orcs, the trolls, or the giant spiders when we LITERALLY FEEL like our mind is balancing on a tightrope?
But you don't have to be where I was to realize that hell is only temporary. Meaning it's not the end of the world and I can guarantee that we won't be the same! We evolve
It doesn't matter what situation we're in because as Gandalf said
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you"
4: Do You Have Any Friends??
I couldn't make it past a lot of the things I went through in life without help from a lot of friends and alliances I made through the years.
Friends are there to make us laugh when you need them most at the end of the day.
We often forget that we're not alone. We just get too "worked" up in our world that we forget to realize there are people to help us out.
I remember there was time couple years back. It was the fourth of July and I was feeling low.
My friend and I just watched funny videos on YouTube all night.
It's little moments like those that make whatever we are going through that much worthwhile!
Seriously do you actually think Frodo Baggins would have gotten anywhere without his good pal SamWise Gamgee to help him a long? Yea I don't think so
5: It's Alright To Be Unsure At Times
Have you ever just woken up in your bed and just stared at the ceiling all day wondering just what the hell you are supposed to be doing.
I mean seriously looking back those were probably one the best of times for me now that I think about it. It was a time of rebirth and reconstruction.
I had probably would have never started redcandee.com
or any other businesses I created if it weren't for these moments.
As a matter of fact have you ever looked up at the skies just staring at it for long periods of time feeling like s***?
Every great person in history has had moments like that. We're not losers or failures for those moments either.
We're just trying to figure our lives out...
Remember when Luke Skywalker from Star Wars: A New Hope looked at the two setting suns on Tatooine just wondering where the hell his life was going to go.
So when we find ourselves wondering about it all we just need to know and fully understand that we're on the right path!
Sometimes the right path isn't always going to be easy and sometimes we just want to cry.
But if we keep on keeping on as the old saying goes life the corrects itself out eventually. :)

6: Who Are You Going To Be?
Not everyone is going to be impressed with being who we are. I can't count the number of times people mocked me or made fun of me for being different.
But screw that I loved every minute of it. I would never have achieved the things I did if I wasn't different.
Being different in a world where everyone else is doing the same s*** all day is awesome. Actually gratifying. There are no rules or limits for us!
And why is it such a bad thing to be mocked for being different? I always wanted to be unique
In Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets Hermonie Granger was mocked by the despicable Draco Malfoy.
He called her a mudblood. Such a horrible name that means impure blood. Meaning having non-magical parents. But as Hagrid put it.
"There is not spell that Hermonie can't do."
It's our self-perceived weaknesses that can make us better. They lay the foundation for our tomorrow.
As warriors, we must not LET anyone tell us can't be something that we want to be because of where we come from or who we are.
And if someone keeps trying to put us down we can just do what Hermonie did to Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azakaban
...Politely of course!
